It's not often you see the Dalai Lama, Robert DeNiro, and a B-list celebrity from Dancing With the Stars participating in the same event. Make that never.
But throw in a good cause that is backed by the name "Kennedy" and magical things start to happen.

The Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights is once again running its annual online auction from now until May 28 and includes more than125 once-in-a-lifetime experiences with amazing stars of TV, film, music and sports. Some experiences are affordable while others are for the wealthy but all are for a good cause.
The RFK Center is a non-profit international human rights advocacy group founded by the friends and family of Robert Kennedy to carry on his legacy.

The auction gives fans and philanthropists alike the opportunity to bid on dazzling celebrity packages such as meeting Oprah Winfrey, buying Dr. Gregory House's (Hugh Laurie of House) cane, and the chance to visit the sets of Desperate Housewives and CSI.
Or get a singing lesson from the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. (Current bid is $5,000.) From Suite101's humble perspective the item of a lifetime is the opportunity to bid on a chance to meet the Dalai Lama during his Holiness's visit to New York City in 2010. Richard Gere will be your guide.
The funds raised benefit RFK Center's work including promoting the rights of hurricane survivors along the Gulf Coast, victims of torture and violence in Darfur and farm workers in the U.S.
